Image of Plum Compote: a 5-minute quick microwave recipe provided with nutrition facts for a homemade dessert.
[ 5 plums]    Cooking time: 5 minutes

5 plums (10 oz.)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup white wine

1. Halve the plums around pits. Remove the pits with the tip of the knife.

2. Place the plum halves in a microwave-safe bowl (1 liter or 1 quart.) Mix in the sugar and white wine.

3. Cover with plastic wrap and poke a hole in the center to release the steam.

4. Cook on HIGH(1200W) for 2 minutes.

5. Cool.*

* Serve hot or cold. The sweetness and texture changes as the temperature changes; they are good either way.
